I don't know about your local technical bookstore, but mine will order
ANSI standards. I guess there's just not enough demand for them to
stock them, though I've occasionally seen a copy of the ANSI COBOL
standard on their shelves. I just find it a lot more convenient to
call ANSI directly and order by phone, charging to a credit card.
